Understand’s license can be completely accessed from the command line or on a headless server using Und. First, navigate to your Und installation, then use any of the following licensing commands.
Setting and Removing a License
Entering a License:
und -setlicensecode XXXXXXXXXX
Removing (Unregistering) a License:
und -deregisterlicensecode
Enabling Offline Mode
Request an Offline Code:
und -createofflinerequestcode
Enter the Offline code into licensing.scitools.com (find your license, select Options -> Checkout License) and get back a date and Reply Code.
Then, set the Reply Code:
und -setofflinereplycode XXXXXXXX -expiration 2026-12-31
Returning from Offline Mode
Return the Offline Code:
und –showofflinereturncode
Note: Running the above command will disable Und and Understand! Only run this command when you are ready to return your license to online mode.
Enter your Offline Return Code into licensing.scitools.com (find your license again, select Options -> Check In License).
Check your current license status (returns error code 2 if unlicensed):
und license
