SARIF, the Static Analysis Results Interchange Format is an open format for sharing static analysis results between different tools. For example, let's assume your team uses QAC Helix from Perforce for identifying issues. It's a great tool for finding those issues, but when it comes time to fix them, you might want a tool more specialized in navigating and exploring legacy code, like Understand!
With Understand 6.3 we've made it easy to import results from other tools. Just drop the sarif export file into the Understand editor!
The issues will be imported into Understand and you can view them using the new Violation Browser (Checks->Browse Violations), and they will show up on the right-hand of your editor.
